Eco-remodeler Jeff King, owner of Kitchen Places and a graduate of the Environmental Studies program at UC Santa Barbara, has put together a design team that is knowledgeable about renewable product choices for cabinets, countertops, plumbing fixtures and floor surfaces.

Kitchen Places' installation crews are sorting post-consumer building materials and installing Energy-Star appliances, tankless water heaters and insulated windows to make older homes more efficient.
