Unlike what you see on television, remodeling your kitchen cannot be completed in a day. Planning is essential. Thanks to the experience of Kitchen Places, we have it down to a formula.
1. The Showroom Visit: Getting to Know Us
Your journey begins at our showroom. We have a 2,000 square foot space that has been called "The most exciting showroom in Ventura County." Here, you'll get a chance to meet some of our staff and examine our workmanship and products. We represent 5 lines of cabinetry in every price range and in styles ranging from tastefully traditional to classically contemporary. We also have several examples of countertop products, appliances and backsplash options.
If you have an opportunity to meet with one of our Designers, you will find that they can help you sort through a lot of the decisions required to begin the process. Sometimes it's easier to see what you don't like before you decide what does appeal to you. The Designer will make note of your preferences.
2. The In-Home Visit: Getting to Know You
Once you have established a rapport with the Designer and set some budgetary goals, the Designer will come to your home. Here he or she will interview you about your family life, how you plan to use the space and what style you envision in the new space. Now is the time to show those magazine clippings you've been saving.
Once your desires have been expressed, the Designer will be able to come up with some realistic budget ranges required to complete your project. Should you decide that you would like to continue the process, a Design Retainer fee will be collected and an on-site field measurement will be conducted. The Designer will then spend a substantial amount of time fine-tuning that information to create a space that meets or surpasses your desires.

3. Preliminary Plans: Broad Strokes
Your Designer will then come up with multiple options for your remodeling project and show you, for example, if an island will fit into your kitchen. Presentations will use either hand sketches or computerized renderings to help you visualize how the completed project will look.
Once you select the design direction that appeals most to you, your Designer will assist you in selecting cabinets, countertops, plumbing fixtures and the other elements necessary to complete the total look. Your budget, you color preferences and your home's architectural cues will all be taken into consideration. We will not let you make a mistake!

4. Project Documents: The Finishing Details
Once you have the complete kitchen selected, we can give you a total price for the materials and the construction.
We present a fixed-price contract, complete with thorough Specifications. Our scope of work is extremely well defined to eliminate misunderstandings between you, the Designer and the installation team.
5. The Installation: Bringing your Plans to Life
We have our own licensed and bonded crew who can demolish your existing space and install all of the new products. We make sure that you are comfortable during the process by providing adequate dust protection and a flow chart that itemizes the length of the project.
6. Celebration: Enjoy your New Lifestyle!
Our goal is to create a space that will change your lifestyle. We want you to experience a kitchen in which it becomes a joy to cook, entertain and even to clean. Our clients are our best source of new business because they love their new Kitchen Places.
